NBA London 2019: New York Knicks take on Washington Wizards at London's O2 in January 2019

A host of big-names from the basketball world are set for a showdown in the capital this January, as the New York Knicks take on the Washington Wizards in the annual NBA London game at the O2 – with tickets available to buy at StubHub.

The electrifying match-up, which takes place on Thursday 17 January, sees the biggest basketball stars cross the Atlantic to show UK fans what they can do at The O2 Arena in London. NBA London: basketball's finest looking forward to huge UK clash

The game marks the league's ninth regular-season match in London, with All-Stars such as Carmelo Anthony, Paul George, DeMar DeRozan, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to name but a few having entertained fans in the capital over the past few years. All eight previous regular-season NBA games in London have sold-out.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver said: "Over that time the games and the surrounding festivities have grown into the equivalent of an NBA All-Star experience transported to Europe."

January's game will be the Knicks' third in the capital, having played regular-season games against the Detroit Pistons in 2013 and the Milwaukee Bucks in 2015, while the Wizards will be playing their first game in the UK.
