Spice Girls tour 2019 confirmed as group prepare for UK concerts
A Spice Girls reunion tour is definitely happening in 2019 with several concerts planned for the UK - including Wembley Stadium.
However, Victoria Beckham has apparently refused to sign on for the run of shows, meaning the Spice Girls will be performing as a quartet.

Spice Girls reunion tour 2019: what we know so far...
After the biggest girl group of the 90s posted a cute reunion pic to Instagram (which did NOT have cocaine in the background, see below) earlier in the week, the Internet was buzzing about the possibility of a Spice Girls tour announcement.
Mel B, Geri Horner (formerly Halliwell), Emma Bunton, Mel C, and Victoria Beckham apparently arranged the meeting to discuss a proper reunion to include US and UK concerts.
The Spice Girls are said to be raking in £12 million each for the tour.
A source told The Sun: “After much to’ing and fro’ing, a deal has been signed, and an official announcement will be made soon.
“The girls can’t wait to go back on tour, perform to the fans and sing some of their greatest hits.”
It was previously reported that Victoria Beckham was “fully on board” with the reunion. However, the fashion icon insists she won't be involved with the Spice Girls 2019 tour.
She told 'The Late, Late Show With James Corden', "It's not about us going on tour, it's not about us recording new material, but how do we pass the 'girl power' message on to future generations?
"Never has there been as important a time to spread that message as there is now, so what does it look like, what is it?"
However, Victoria did agree that a Spice Girls 'Carpool Karaoke' - a regular segment on Corden's show in which he sings along to the hits of huge artists as they join him in the passenger's seat - would be a good idea.
During an appearance on ITV's Loose Women, Mel B said she'd like to get the Spice Girls tour on the road as soon as possible, but working out the details has proved tricky.
Mel told the show, "It's going to be a bit of everything. If it was up to me we'd go on tour immediately. Maybe we will soon... Hopefully.
The Spice Girls reunion was initially teased by Emma during an interview with Jamie Theakston on Heart radio.
The host joked about the reason why Geri and Victoria were suddenly convinced to rejoin the group.
He asked: “So last year, three of you were really keen, two of you not so keen. What was it about the £10 million that made them change their minds?”
Emma replied, “'Oh ha ha ha. No, being together and figuring things out, there’s a lot of opportunities for us, especially right now, needing a bit of girl power in the world.”
It seems the group - who championed “girl power” back in their heyday - were inspired to take to the stage once again at least in part by the Time’s Up and #metoo movements.

The Spice Girls said in a statement, “The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together.
“We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations.”
In an interview with the Daily Star, Victoria said, “The Time’s Up and #MeToo movements have shone a light on how powerful we can be when we work together to bring about change.
“That is incredibly inspiring.”
And the fans agree. No sooner had the Spice Girls reunion announcement hit the web did social media explode with excitement.

Was there cocaine in the background of the Spice Girls reunion photo?
Er… no. (well, we weren’t there. But, y’know, almost certainly not). In fact, it’s quite clearly the way the light hits the phone screen.
But a little thing like "the simplest explanation" is never enough to stop the Internet squawking about it...
What about the Spice Girls TV show?
Part of the Spice Girls reunion looks to be a TV show which may see the group judging a talent show to find the next generation of girl power.
There's also talks of a Spice Girls animated superhero movie.
Will the Spice Girls release new music in 2018?
The concert setlist is likely to comprise of the Spice Girls’ greatest hits - with perhaps a few surprise new tracks and some of their more popular solo hits.
However, it’s likely the Spice Girls will want to release something to capitalise on the heat of the reunion. Our money’s on a greatest hits box set with two or three new tracks.
