MoStack Stacko Tour guide: Show dates, venues and how to get tickets
London rapper MoStack is taking his Stacko Tour across the UK and Ireland from 21 October to 1 November 2019.
The performances will be in support of his debut album of the same name, which was released on 7 June and peaked at No. 3 on the British charts. For fans of UK rap, this is not one to be missed.
Born Montell Delay in Hornsey, North London, MoStack is part of a crew that are leading up the booming UK rap scene — alongside the likes of Giggs, Loyle Carner and Skepta. His debut mixtape, High Street Kid, came out on 2 June 2017 and hit No. 16 on the UK Albums Charts.
With nearly 1.9 million monthly streams and almost 250,000 followers on Spotify, the British hip-hop star has made a name for himself with Top 20 singles like “Shine Girl” featuring Stormzy, “Fashion Week” with Steel Banglez and AJ Tracey, and appearing on fellow Londonder Dave’s single “No Words”. This month it was also announce MoStack guested on Aitch’s brand new track “Weekday” from his freshly released album, AitcH2O.
MoStack’s highly anticipated debut album Stacko has gotten a good rap from critics as well, with the NME’s critic Kyann-Sian Williams describes his cheeky and clever delivery reinforcing his hip-hop persona as “funny gangster”.
She writes, “MoStack finally delivers his debut album, as he evolves to be one of the frontrunners of UK rap. The north London native shows off his skills with his witty lyrics and lively production, proving why he is so important in UK culture. With a national tour in sight, he’s released an album filled with songs you’ll scream at the top of your lungs.”
But don’t just trust the critics — his collaborators have added some hype to the hits, too. UK rapper Steel Banglez, who joined MoStack on the track “Fashion Week”, told Clash about Stacko: “I have been working with MoStack for years and I have seen him develop as an artist and person. I believe this is one of his greatest masterpieces to date and I’m so glad to have played a role in it.”

What is the Stacko tracklist?
The 13-track album features guest appearances from UK rappers J Hus, Dave, Stormzy, Fredo and Dolapo. British producer Levi Lennox, who collaborated with MoStack on Stacko, tells Clash, “Making the album was sick, I got an opportunity to collaborate with my good friends iLL Blu, TSB and Jay Keyz which is always good. Plus working with Stormzy and Mo together and watching them bounce ideas off each other was dope to see.”
In her review of Stacko, The Guardian’s Aimee Cliff writes, “True to form, the record is brimming with imaginative, liquid melodies, drizzled over playful Afrobeats and – on the nostalgic I Want You – UK garage. An early standout is the ostentatious Stinking Rich, featuring Dave and J Hus, with a hook that’s primed for being yelled by festival crowds; following that, there’s the flirty, finger-snapping Respect & Love. On the Stormzy-featuring Shine Girl, MoStack pays tribute to his girlfriend over a glimmering, shuffling production, landing just the right side of sickly sweet.”
