British girl group Little Mix have just announced new 2022 dates their upcoming 24-dates UK and Ireland tour to promote their forthcoming album 'Confetti' including an extra date in Cardiff.

Band members Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock will kicked off the month-long tour in Belfast on the 9th of April 2022 before heading to the Britain starting in Newcastle on the 15th of April and ending in London on the 14th of May.

Their Confetti Tour is in support of the album of the same name, which was released on the 6th of November last year. Little Mix's last album release, LM5, came out in November 2018 and included singles such as “Think About Us”, “Joan Of Arc” and “Woman Like Me” with American rapper Nicki Minaj, which won them the British Artist Video of the Year prize at the 2019 Brit Awards and also Best Song at the 2019 Global Awards.

Little Mix launched as the winners of the eighth series of Simon Cowell’s The X Factor reality television programme, mentored by Tulisa Contostavlos. They have gone on to massive success since, with over 50 million record sales globally. In 2020 they also released their latest UK #1 "Sweet Melody" (released with 'Confetti' in November) and reached the top 10 with “Break up song” which also became a Tik Tok challenge during lockdown in April 2020.

Even with all their success, the “Salute” stars have had their struggles culminating on the former fourth member Jesy Nelson ultimately leaving the band to focus on her mental health. In the BBC documentary “Jesy Nelson: Odd One Out”, aired on 12 September 2019, the titular pop star shared on how online bullying led her to become “obsessed” with negative comments about her and even attempt suicide.

"I had a routine of waking up, going on Twitter, searching for the worst things I could about myself," she is quoted by Hello Magazine as saying.

She continues, “I'd type in the search bar: 'Jesy fat' or 'Jesy ugly' and see what would come up. Sometimes I didn’t even need to do that, I'd just write 'Jesy' and then I'd see all the horrible things. Everyone told me to ignore it — but it was like an addiction."

Fortunately, after an intervention during Little Mix’s 2014 tour with Demi Lovato in America, Nelson was able to quit Twitter and begin healing.
