Justin Timberlake at the Super Bowl and more tour news
Timberlake performed at the Super Bowl LII halftime show in the US on February 4, just two days after the album dropped.
During the concert, Timberlake performed a medley of hits, as well as a tribute to the late pop icon Prince.

The last Justin Timberlake UK tour was as part of the ‘20/20 Experience World Tour’, which lasted 15 months and featured eight UK concerts. A documentary revolving around the tour’s last date called ‘Justin Timberlake + The Tennessee Kids’ was directed by the late filmmaker Jonathan Demme. It's on Netflix.
In 2017, Timberlake made a couple of US appearances at the Pilgrimage Festival and Dave Matthews' Concert for Charlottesville.
Fans are speculating about the possibility of an NSYNC reunion on the new tour. Timberlake has said his new music is about where he’s from, and while the trailer and album cover suggest he literally means Memphis, Tennessee - he could also be referring to his boy band roots. If so, there’s every reason to think the star could cash in on the current culture of nostalgia and use his tour to get back together with his former NSYNC band mates.
Justin Timberlake has released a video of some of the highlights of his 2018 concerts to date.
The shows are pretty unique in style and see the star perform on a disco dance floor, play guitar in front of a campfire on stage and interact with fans.
To launch the tour, Timberlake posted a picture of himself and his family - wife Jessica Biel and two-year-old son Silas - waiting at the airport.
The cute pic shows the family hand-in-hand before the first North American tour date in Toronto.
Justin Timberlake’s new album ‘Man Of The Woods’
Timberlake announced his fifth studio album - released on February 2 - with a trailer that dropped on January 2. In it, the star reveals his inspiration for the record and is shot in a rural environment in Tennessee (where the star is from).
Timberlake says in the trailer, “This album is really inspired by my son, my wife, my family, but more so than any other album I've ever written, where I'm from. It's personal."
A female narrator adds, “It feels like mountains, trees, campfires, like Wild West... like now."
The album went to no.1 in the US Billboard 200 chart and no.2 in the UK.
Justin Timberlake later teased fans with another behind-the-scenes look at 'Man of the Woods.'
In the clip - which also features collaborator Pharrell Williams and wife Jessica Biel - offers up a few soundbites that tease tracks from the new album.
Timberlake says in the video, "I think the album has a wide range of sonics to it, but I guess I would describe it as modern Americana with 808s," referring to the drum machines used.
Timberlake said in previous interviews, “It sounds more like where I've come from than any other music I've ever made... It's Southern American music. But I want to make it sound modern - at least that's the idea right now.
"Memphis is known as the birthplace of rock & roll, but also the home of blues. Nashville's right down the street so there's also a lot of country music."
The new album marks Timberlake’s first LP in four years, although he has since worked on the soundtrack for 2016 animated feature ‘Trolls’, including the hit ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’.
Timberlake is known for lengthy rest periods between albums, having waited seven years between ‘Future Sex Love Sounds’ and ‘The 20/20 Experience’.
The singer has confirmed that ‘Man Of The Woods’ will feature collaborations with Alicia Keys and country star Chris Stapleton, who he has worked with previously.
The Neptunes - a production duo made up of Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo - are producing the album along with Danja and Timbaland.
Williams also features in the album trailer - in which he calls one track a “smash” - hinting at a secret collaboration.
Justin Timberlake has hosted a secret listening party for 'Man of the Woods' - and guests were served insects!
The star invited fans to get a sneak preview of the new album, and kept the 'woods' theme by serving gourmet grasshoppers and ants.
We just ate grasshoppers and ants with Justin Timberlake, who played us his entire album #ManOfTheWoods before it's released 2/2 ahead of his Super Bowl halftime show. I have tons of feelings about @jtimberlake's new music that I'll share later (we signed an NDA). BUGS = FILTHY? pic.twitter.com/ocgefJOweH

The full tracklist - which was tweeted by Timberlake himself - sees the album open with lead single 'Filthy':
- Midnight Summer Jam
- Man of the Woods
- Higher, Higher
- Morning Light (featuring Alicia Keys)
- Say Something (featuring Chris Stapleton)
- Hers (Interlude)
- Breeze Off the Pond
- Livin’ Off the Land
- The Hard Stuff
- Young Man
The first single ‘Filthy’ dropped on January 4 and features Timberlake as a Steve Jobs-like figure unveiling a new robot that goes on to bust some moves reminiscent of the singer’s signature steps.
Timberlake posted two making-of videos to his Instagram page, showing how they captured the star’s moves to create the CG robot...
...and another showing the singer perfecting his robotic groove.
Later, Timberlake released a behind-the-scenes look at the making of 'Filthy', which shows the singer getting excited in the studio and suggesting the beat will make people "wanna **** their pants."
Timberlake - who has said the new track should be played “very loud” - tweeted a candid video of himself and wife Jessica Biel getting down to the track on the way to the Golden Globes.

Timberlake later dropped another new video - this time for 'Supplies', which features several references to the #MeToo and Times Up campaigns
In the video, a woman lifting a car wears a t-shirt that reads, "Pussy Grabs Back", in reference to a leaked recording of President Donald Trump. Eagle-eyed fans have also spotted "Me Too" posters, another t-shirt that says "The Future is Female" and clips of Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey - both of whom have been accused of sexual misconduct.
Timberlake followed up with the breathtaking new video for 'Say Something'. The promo - which also features US country star Chris Stapleton - was filmed in just one take and sees the singer play guitar as the pair move around an old building in coordination with each other and a full choir.
