‘Evolve’: Everything you need to know about Imagine Dragons’ new album

The band had initially planned to take some time off in 2016 after a packed touring schedule and the release of 2015 album ‘Smoke + Mirrors’.

But instead, the ‘Radioactive’ hitmakers got to work on their new album, as well as contributing to the soundtracks of films ‘Me Before You’ (‘Not Today’), ‘Suicide Squad (‘Sucker for Pain’) and ‘Passengers’ (‘Levitate’).

Shortly after teasing the new album in September 2016 with a tweet that read simply “studio”, the first single ‘Believer’ was released. The track reached number four in the US singles chart and was used in a Nintendo Switch advert for the Super Bowl. The music video features action star Dolph Lundgren.

Next came the album’s second hit single ‘Thunder’. The black and white sci-fi video features body-popping aliens in the streets of Dubai.

The third and final official single ‘Whatever It Takes.’ The song served as the official theme song for WWE wrestling event ‘Battleground’ and also featured in video game ‘Madden NFL 18.’

UPDATE: Imagine Dragons have released new single 'Next To Me' - the first new music from the band since 2017 album 'Evolve'.
