February 2020 has plenty of exciting events to distract you from those pesky New Year’s resolutions you made last month. Who has time to go to the gym with Valentine’s Day and so many FOMO-worthy things are happening around the corner — including UK tours from The 1975, Lana Del Rey and even the Whitney Houston Hologram Tour.
Curious what’s on in London for Valentine’s Day 2020? Pretty Woman: The Musical will be having its West End premiere and British singer James Blunt will be launching his UK tour. If you prefer rugby over romance, Six Nations 2020 is also kicking off this month.

What’s on in London and the UK this month
Led by Matty Healy, Manchester indie rock band The 1975 will be touring the UK and Ireland’s biggest arenas in 2020. The shows will be in support of their upcoming album, Notes on a Conditional Form, which is set for release on 21 February. The 1975 tour will kick off on 15 February in Nottingham and wrap on 3 March in Dublin.
Crooner James Blunt will be giving pop lovers an extra-special Valentine’s Day gift. The “You’re Beautiful” singer will be starting his nine-date 2020 UK tour that day in support of his sixth studio album, Once Upon a Mind. Word to the Wisemen: you’ll want to get your James Blunt tickets quickly as they’re selling out fast.
If you’re a K-pop fan, you already know what’s on in London this month: SuperM will be coming to The O2 on 28 February 2020. The South Korean boy band have seen their popularity skyrocket since they launched their self-titled debut album last year, turning members Baekhyun, Taemin, Kai, Taeyong, Ten, Lucas and Mark into global celebrities. The 28 February show is their only scheduled UK date for 2020, so best get those SuperM tickets 2 Fast.
The Editors tour will be coming home to the UK from 27 February to 3 March 2020. Formerly known as Pilot, The Pride and Snowfield, the British rockers have had a string of top-10 albums since they launched in 2002. Now, they will be playing five shows across the United Kingdom and Ireland — including arenas in Birmingham, London, Manchester, Dublin and Glasgow.
Lana Del Rey
The Lana Del Rey tour will be coming to the UK from 25 to 29 February 2020. The “Born to Die” singer will be playing songs from her latest GRAMMY-nominated album, Normal Fucking Rockwell, for the first time on British stages since its release on 30 August 2019. Lana Del Rey will perform four UK dates in some of the biggest arenas across the country including The O2 Arena in London.
Whitney Houston Hologram Tour
If you will always love the music of Whitney Houston, you need to see her Hologram Tour here in the UK — it really does look like she’s there. The late American singer and one of the best-selling artists of all time has been brought back to the stage through the power of technology, and her legendary voice will be backed by a live orchestra. The Whitney Houston Hologram Tour will come to 13 venues across the UK and Ireland from 27 February to 10 March 2020.

Pretty Woman: The Musical
Based on the hit 1990 romantic comedy of the same name starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, Pretty Woman: The Musical will be making its London West End debut on 14 February 2020 at the Piccadilly Theatre. If you don’t have Valentine’s Day plans in the capital yet, this is the place —and play— to be at. Pretty Woman: The Musical is directed and choreographed by two-time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots) and features music by Grammy winner Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance.
Rhod Gilbert — The Book of John Tour
The 2020 leg of Rhod Gilbert’s The Book of John Tour kicks off on 2 February in Liverpool. The award-winning Welsh stand-up comedian returned to the stage last year after a six-year hiatus. Gilbert’s comeback with The Book of John tour is raw, brutally honest and uproariously hilarious.
Count Arthur Strong — Is There Anybody Out There Tour
Count Arthur Strong has taken his sitcom from the telly to the theatre. Created and performed by Steve Delaney, the fictional character is many things: an astronomer, an actor and an absolute riot. Count Arthur Strong is a medley of comedy styles, from vaudeville slapstick humour to musings about the universe to ventriloquism — it’s certainly not to be missed.
Six Nations 2020
Six Nations 2020 will bring some of the biggest rugby teams in Europe to Twickenham Stadium in London, Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh and Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium from 1 February to 14 March. Remember how Valentine’s Day is around the corner? Why not make a power play and use a Six Nations 2020 game as an excuse for a romantic weekend in Dublin, Paris or Rome?
