Terms and conditions for Everton VIP Hospitality Competition (the "competition")

By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (these "Terms and Conditions").

Promotional materials relating to the competition, including all information on how to enter the competition, also form part of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between any terms referred to in such promotion materials and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions take precedence.


1. Eligibility: The competition is open to all UK Residents aged 18 years or over except those residing in Northern Ireland. It is not open to the Promoter’s employees, their families, agents or any third party connected with the operation or fulfilment of the competition

2. Opening and closing dates: The competition will run from 14:00 UK time on 05/09/2018 (the “Opening Date”) to 12:00 UK time on 11/09/2018 (the “Closing Date”).

How to enter: The promotion is free to enter and no purchase is necessary. To enter the competition entrants must answer the question “What is Everton defender Kurt Zouma’s middle name?”

3. Entrants must answer the question by selecting one of 3 possible answers from the multiple choice options provided on the blog.

4. Judging: The entries will be judged by an independent judge to determine a winner from the correct answers provided. The decision of the judge (acting reasonably) will be final.

5. Prize: The winner will receive two (2) VIP Hospitality tickets to watch Everton FC v West Ham United on 16th September 2018.

6. Winner and prize fulfilment:

a. The winner will be notified within 2 days of the Closing Date via phone and/or email using the contact details provided at entry (“Notification”).

b. The Promoter may require further information from the winner to confirm their eligibility and arrange delivery of the prize.

c. In the event the winner does not respond to the Notification within 3 days, the Promoter reserves the right to select another winner.

d. The prize(s) will be available for collection by the winner at the Hospitality Box Office on the day of the Everton FC v West Ham United match.

e. The winner’s name and country can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to the Promoter's address below within 14 days after the Closing Date.



The Promoter is: StubHub (UK) Limited, 5 New Street Square, London, EC4A 3TW. StubHub may carry out the promotion through its local subsidiaries.


a. In entering the competition, you confirm that:

i. You are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition. If the winner is found to be ineligible, the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant and to require the return of any prize already awarded; and

ii. You are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.


a. Only entries submitted via the official method of entry will be accepted. The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:
i. automatically generated by computer or any other system;
ii. completed by third parties or in bulk; or
iii. Illegible, incomplete, fraudulent, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with.

b. There is a limit of one entry to the competition per person.

c. Unless stated otherwise above, entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.

d. The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition or these Terms and Conditions at its sole discretion.

e. Unless stated otherwise above, competition entries cannot be returned to entrants.


4.1 The prize is as stated, non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash or alternative is offered as an alternative to the prize in whole or in part. The winner is responsible for paying all associated costs (including but not limited to travel expenses to/from the event venue) that are not specifically stated in these Terms and Conditions and any other incidentals. The winner is also personally responsible for any personal or incidental expenses and any VAT, national and/or local tax liabilities incurred in claiming or using the prize.

4.2 By participating in the competition, entrants agree that the prize is awarded on an "as is" basis, and that neither Promoter nor any of its subsidiary or affiliated companies, make any representations or warranties of any nature with respect to the prize.

4.3 In the event that, for reasons beyond the Promoter's control and not related to the winner, the Promoter is unable to award the prize as described in these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to select alternative prizes of an equivalent or similar value, or at its sole discretion, the cash value of the prize. In the event of a printing or other error resulting in there being more winners than prizes for the competition, the Promoter reserves the right at any time to allocate the available prize by the means of a prize draw or to divide the prize or the value of the prize between the winners of the competition.


5.1 Unless stated otherwise above:

a. the Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize; and

b. the prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.

5.2 The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.


6.1 Save where it has been negligent, the Promoter will not be responsible for any damage, loss or injury resulting from entrants' entry into the competition or their acceptance and/or use of the prize.

6.2 The Promoter will not be responsible for any entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged, defaced, incomplete, illegible or otherwise unreadable or delayed in transit regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware of software failure of any kind.

6.3 Proof of posting or transmission is not proof of entry or receipt by the Promoter of any entries.

6.4 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall in any way limit the Promoter's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for any other matter where liability may not as a matter of law be limited.

6.5 Your statutory rights are not affected.


7.1 If you are the winner of the competition, you agree that the Promoter may use your name, image and town or country of residence to announce the winner of this competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes without further reference, payment or other compensation.

7.2 Promoter will collect and process entrants' personal information and it will be shared with Promoter's agents and affiliates (including those outside the European Economic Area) to the extent necessary in order to conduct the Competition including for the prize to be delivered to the winner. If entrants do not provide any of the mandatory information requested when entering and taking part in the Competition, they may not take part in the Competition. Entrants' names and other personal details from their entry to the Competition will be collected and stored by Promoter and held in accordance with the applicable privacy policy in place from time to time (see https://www.stubhub.co.uk/legal/?section=pp).


8.1 The competition will be governed by English law and the entrants to the competition submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

8.2 If the competition is featured on a social media platform or third party website, the competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administrated by, or associated with the social media platform or third party website. By participating, you understand you are providing your information to StubHub and not to the social media platform or third party website.
