The British pop-rock band made the announcement via a type-written letter sent to select fans, many of whom initially thought it was fake despite it being signed by all four members.
According to Billboard, the note read: “Dear friends,” the note from Chris Martin and Co. reads, “my typing isn’t very good i’m sorry / I and we hope wherever you are you’re ok / for the last 100 years or thereabouts we have been working on a thing called Everyday Life / in the classifieds you might write ‘double album for sale, one very careful owner’ / one half is called ‘sunrise’, the other ‘sunset’ / it comes out 22 november / it is sort of how we feel about things / we send much love to you from hibernation / chris, jonny, guy and Will Champion, esq."
Fake alert ! Got this in the post this morning with autographs in gold in the corners . Can’t see why anybody would send it . Anybody got anything similar ? pic.twitter.com/Op6VsG51Dh

Coldplay are the biggest British band of the 21st Century, behind three of the top 20 best-selling albums of the new millennium. They haven’t released a full record since 2015’s A Head Full of Dreams, which was supported by a global tour following their Super Bowl half-time show performance in 2016.
The Head Full of Dreams World Tour played to over 5.3 million fans across 114 shows in 76 cities and 31 countries. It took in $523,033,675 (approx. £409 million) in ticket sales, becoming the third highest-grossing tour of all time behind only U2 and The Rolling Stones. Since then, Coldplay have been mostly kept out of the spotlight — until now.

What is the release date of Coldplay’s new album?
Coldplay’s upcoming eighth studio album Everyday Life will be released on 22 November 2019. It will be a double album split into two halves: Sunrise and Sunset. It will launch with two live-streams on YouTube from Jordan — one at 4:00am GMT (Sunrise) and another at 2:00pm GMT (Sunset).
The band had initially plastered mysterious posters around the world depicting them as an old-fashioned wedding band. They also posted a cryptic five-second teaser to Instagram on 19 October showing them in the same antique-style black-and-white photo. The letters “November 22, 1919” appeared on the screen, which was the date a solar eclipse was seen around the world. A century later, it will be when Everyday Life is released.
