1. Glastonbury 2016 - the last Pyramid set
Labelled by many fans as their "Best set ever", Coldplay's performance from the iconic Pyramid stage include hits such as Fix You, Paradise and Yellow as well as appearance from the Bee Gees' Barry Gibb. You can replay the full set on BBC iPlayer - here's a sneak peak...
2. Glastonbury 2002 - the first headline set
Did you know that Coldplay weren't originally supposed to headline the festival? They agreed to fill in as a replacement for The Strokes and flew to Worthy Farm after performing a gig in Paris on the same day
3. Live Forever - One Love, Manchester 2017 (feat Liam Gallagher)
The charity event, organised to support victims of the 2017 Manchester Arena bombings, saw the unexpected appearance of Liam Gallagher performing Oasis' hit 'Live Forever' alongside Coldplay. One Love Manchester was also the occasion for Liam to make peace with Chris Martin after having criticised Coldplay in the past.
4. Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show (2016)
In 2016 Coldplay headlined The Super Bowl's halftime show in California (Levy Stadium, Santa Clara). They were supported by the likes of Beyonce and Bruno Mars with a set featuring hits such as 'Yellow', 'Viva La Vida', 'Paradise' and 'Uptown Funk'.
5. Bitter Sweet Symphony - Live 8, London 2005 (feat Richard Ashcroft)
On the 2nd July 2005 Sir Bob Geldof and The Band Aid Trust organised the Live 8, a benefit concert in Hyde Park to raise money to fight poverty around the world. Coldplay were joined by Richard Ashcroft to perform the iconic Verve song 'Bitter Sweet Symphony',
6. A Sky Full of Stars - Global Citizen Festival, Hamburg 2017 (feat Shakira)
Global Citizen has always been invested in fighting poverty and inequality all over the world. In 2017 their very first festival in Germany raised over $700M worth of donations. Coldplay were joined by Shakira performing their own 'A Sky Full of Stars'.
7. Everyday Life in Jordan - Sunrise & Sunset Performances (2019)
Coldplay were no strangers to live streaming even before covid-19 hit the world. On 22nd November 2019 they launched the release of their new album 'Everyday Life' with a live Youtube show from the city of Amman in Jordan. The band performed every track included in the album splitting the event (and the day) into two parts: sunrise and sunset.
8. Viva La Vida - The Butterfly Package, Sao Paulo 2018
In 2018 Coldplay released 'The Butterfly Package', a box set including recording from their record breaking Tour 'A Head Full Of Dreams'. The box set features a concert film with the full live set of their Sao Paulo date including 'Viva La Vida'
9. Everglow - Belasco Theater, Los Angeles, 2015
Coldplay's most popular live performances don't always involve large crowds - here's 'Everglow', recorded as part of an acoustic set in 2015.
10. Paradise - Global Goal, United for Our Future (2020)
As Global Citizen gathered music stars all over the world to perform at a digitally streamed fundraising event, Coldplay dedicated their song 'Paradise' to Elijah McClain, a 23-year-old black man who died in police custody last year.
