British Summer Time Hyde Park 2019: Lineup and complete guide
Don’t care for the mud and mosquitos of countryside festivals? Put away your wellies, un-pitch your tent, park the caravan and take the Tube to British Summer Time Hyde Park 2019 in central London. Not only is it one of the best UK festivals of 2019, but its lineup is packed with living legends like Celine Dion, Stevie Wonder, Florence + the Machine and more!
Promotionally known as Barclaycard presents BST Hyde Park, it is an annual UK music festival held in London’s Hyde Park. Running July 5 to 14, the 2019 event will be peak fun in the sun — allowing fans to enjoy the outdoors and a huge range of rock and pop music in the heart of the Capital. Launched in 2013, last year’s event included major acts like The Cure, Eric Clapton, Paul Simon, Michael Buble and Bruno Mars.
Music gods Neil Young and Bob Dylan had initially been announced on November 27, 2018, as Barclaycard presents BST Hyde Park’s 2019 headliners. However, soon after tickets went on sale, both pulled out as they felt they couldn’t support Barclays. Known environmentalist Young described the bank as a, “fossil fuel funding entity”.
Fortunately for UK music festival fans, the British Summer Time lineup has managed to land some equally jaw-dropping talents for all tastes and fancies. Keep reading to see who you can see play in the royal park this summer!

Who's playing on the BST Hyde Park lineup in 2019
While they may not be the latest, the British Summer Time headliners include some of the greatest like Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand and Stevie Wonder. The words “epic” and “iconic” do not even begin to describe a lineup like that.
“We’re living in a time where there’s so much is going on in the world. But the one thing that we know for sure that we can celebrate is life, love and music. I’m very thankful that you all have been so wonderful to me, giving me your life and allowing me to share my music with you since I was 11 years old, which was just a little ago. So, we’re just going to play and have fun,” said Stevie Wonder in a statement. He will be supported on stage by fellow American music legend Lionel Richie.
The BST Hyde Park 2019 lineup is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see all these talents at one of the best UK festivals. The event will be Celine Dion’s sole European date of the year and she will be performing for a crowd of 70,000. The Canadian chanteuse has sold over 240 million records worldwide and is known for her incredible vocal range and live performances, having just wrapped a record-breaking residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Also a European-exclusive performance, Barbra Streisand is also amongst the best-selling female artists of all time with 145 million record sales globally and a record-breaking, Oscar- and Grammy-winning career spanning over six decades.
Homegrown headliners will also be taking the stage, including Take That bad-boy Robbie Williams —who has had six of the 100 best-selling albums in Britain, sold another 77 million worldwide, had 14 number 1 singles and won 18 BRIT Awards, which is more than any other artist ever— alongside bands Florence + the Machine and Keane. Coming from across the pond are indie group The National, as well as the Black Eyed Peas and Josh Groban.

If you are taking a taxi or rideshare, there is no designated drop-off point for British Summer Time Hyde Park 2019 so it’s best to select a location away from the event site as the area will be quite congested. There will be plenty of road closures too and the organisers encourage guests to take public transportation instead of driving themselves.
Will there be food and drinks at BST Hyde Park 2019?
Fancy a bite to eat or a drink between shows? For 2019, the event’s organisers have brought in an even bigger range of artisan traders, producers and restaurateurs to sink your teeth into, plus a selection of themed bars to tap into. Pro tip: avoid getting a bite or beverage just prior to the headliner going on stage as this is when they are busiest — the quietest time is whilst they are on stage.
British Summer Time Hyde Park’s has vendors that accommodate the following dietary restrictions: vegetarian, vegan, pescetarian, non-dairy, sugar-free, low calorie, low sodium.
Take note: on ticketed concert days, no food or drink is permitted to be brought into the event, with the exception of water in unopened plastic containers of up to 500ml and baby food (not in glass containers).
