Lynah Rink TicketsLynah Rink is an ice hockey arena located at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y. The grand opening brought 4,200 spectators on March 21, 1957 for a match between the New York Rangers and the Rochester Americans. The rink was named after Cornell alumnus, businessman and founder of the Eastern College Athletic Conference James Lynah on April 6 of that same year. In 2006, the area underwent major renovations that added more square footage to the rink, which now measures 200 feet by 85 feet. The renovations also included 464 additional seats that brought total seating capacity up to 4,267, not including the preferred seating available to the players. The arena is home to the Cornell Big Red men's and women's hockey teams as well as a crop of extremely passionate college hockey fans. Among the more notable Lynah Rink events have been many games in the legendary Cornell-Harvard men's hockey rivalry between the Cornell Big Red and the Harvard Crimson.
