Lion King Greenville TicketsThe young lion cub, Simba, is a character who touched the hearts of many the first time that he was seen in The Lion King, the movie that was released in 1994. As the theatrical production of the same name begins, Simba is being presented to the animals of the Pride Lands, and the scene is amazing to see. Simba’s father, Mufasa, then bonds with the young cub by telling him about the circle of life the Pride Lands and the kingdom that he will one day rule over. Unbeknownst to the young cub, his uncle, Scar, feels like he deserves to be the next king, and he schemes to kill Simba. He draws the young lion into an area where he has planned a stampede, but instead of Simba dying, Mufasa tragically falls to his death. Simba leaves the Pride Lands and doesn’t return until he is an adult who can fight for his right to be king.
