Knitting Factory History
The Knitting Factory began in 1987 with the opening of the original venue in New York City. In its earliest days, the Knitting Factory's calendar featured a varied array of jazz performances, poetry nights, performance art events and rock shows. The brand gradually grew to become Knitting Factory Entertainment, which opened a series of venues in several U.S. cities, among them the concert venue in Boise, Idaho established in 2008.
