Hinder Tickets
After being inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame, Hinder became a household name. This American rock band has been tearing up stages and entertaining fans since 2001. Their albums have landed on the charts in countries across the globe.
Schedule
Hinder has had headlining and supporting roles at concerts in just about every country. They hit the stage at the Kalkscheune in Berlin shortly before making their way to Melkweg in Amsterdam, Manchester Academy 3 and Castle Donington. They're also set to play the O2 Academy Birmingham, the Divan du Monde in Paris and the Luxor in Cologne.
Trivia
Hinder's late 2010 release, All American Nightmare, has tons of great music behind it. In fact, the lead singer at the time, Austin Winkler, said the band wrote around 70 songs before recording 50 of them. Of those 50 songs, the band was able to narrow it down to 12 for the release.
Band/Singer
Hinder came together when singer Austin Winkler met up with guitarist Joe Garvey and drummer Cody Hanson. They formed the band and eventually brought in Cole Parker on bass. They released a demo disc while touring around Oklahoma City, and soon gained some local recognition by placing in the Final Four of a March Bandness competition. They released their first EP, Far From Close, in 2003 and got noticed by several record labels. In 2005, they decided to sign with Universal Records. After signing, Extreme Behavior came out to massive acclaim. The band put out four additional albums through 2015, but Winkler eventually was replaced with singer Marshal Dutton. Additionally, Parker left the band and guitarist Mark King and bassist Mike Rodden were brought in.
Breakthrough
It's sometimes difficult to pinpoint the precise breakthrough moment of a band, but this isn't the case with Hinder. Their release Extreme Behavior in 2005 undoubtedly put them on the map. Although AllMusic didn't give the album a great review, several of the singles topped out charts around the world. Their single "Lips of an Angel" was on the charts in Australia, the USA, New Zealand, Singapore and Canada. "How Long" also made it to No. 6 on America's Mainstream Rock chart. It was this album's success that helped ensure future releases success.
Hit Albums
Although Extreme Behavior was certified Platinum three times by the RIAA, it wasn't the band's only measure of success. In 2008, Take It to the Limit reached No. 2 on the U.S. Alternative charts, and it would even land in the top 100 in Japan. It had more post-grunge and glam metal influences than Extreme Behavior, and it would eventually be certified Gold. All American Nightmare hit No. 1 on the American Alternative charts, and fans loved the new direction from the band which was described as "Southern rock with a twist, but still heavy." Even 2015's When the Smoke Clears, released nearly a decade after their debut album, made it to No. 8 on the American Alternative charts.
Show Experience
Fans with Hinder tickets can expect a night of hard rock that is sure to be memorable. Fans are screaming and pumping their fists in the air even before the band begins to play. And once they do start performing, the crowd rarely stops banging their heads and jumping in place. Instead of just playing instruments, the band plays directly to the crowd -- often walking up to the edge of the stage and looking down at individual fans while thrashing their guitars. It's non-stop adrenaline and heavy hitting tracks from the moment Hinder walks on the stage until the fans are left screaming for an encore at the end.
