Haas Pavilion TicketsHaas Pavilion hosts five of the University of California, Berkeley's (also known as UC Berkeley and Cal) sports teams: the men's basketball team, the women's basketball team, the women's volleyball team, the women's gymnastics team and the men's gymnastics team. The California Golden Bears compete at the venue, which is located at 14 Frank Schlessinger Way in Berkeley. Formerly named Men's Gym and Harmon Gym, the playing area was renamed Pete Newell Court in 1987, in honor of the former basketball coach. It opened in 1933, but underwent a $57.5 million renovation in the late 1990s. Haas Pavilion is decked out in blue and gold. What security measures are in place at the venue?All guests must walk through metal detectors at the venue's entrance. Prior to being screened, please remove your hat, keys, cameras and cell phones. Belts, money, wallets, watches, jewelry, jackets, coats and shoes may be kept on. This is for the safety of all attendees, athletes and staff members.
Are there concessions?Plenty of game-day foods are available at concessions stands, such as soft drinks, candy, hot dogs, burgers and pretzels. You can find them on levels 1, 2 and 3. Pay with cash, debit or credit.
Can I get there via public transportation?The UC Berkeley campus is accessible by public transportation. Simply take a Bay Area Rapid Transit train (a BART train) to the Downtown Berkeley stop. This stop is right next to campus and only a short walk away from Haas Pavilion events.
What is prohibited from Haas Pavilion?Large bags, glass bottles, noisemakers, cameras with lenses larger than six inches, balloons, alcohol and drugs are just some items that are not allowed in Haas Pavilion. Check out the venue website for a full list.
What is Haas Pavilion's Clear Bag Policy?To make the event experience positive, all guests must adhere to the Clear Bag Policy. Only one clear bag is allowed per person, and it must be no larger than 12 inches wide by 12 inches high by 6 inches deep. Small clutch bags, which are about the size of a hand, and clear one-gallon bags are also allowed. Exceptions are allowed for fans with documented medical needs and for those who require diaper bags.
What is appropriate fan conduct in Haas Pavilion?Fans must conduct themselves in an appropriate manner when they are in Haas Pavilion. Actions that disrupt a game, possession of prohibited items, the use of foul and abusive language or gestures and intoxication are prohibited. In addition, fighting, wearing inappropriate clothing, smoking, using drugs, sitting in a seat that is different than the one that is marked on your ticket and failing to follow general UC Berkeley and arena rules are not allowed.
