Located inside Boise State University in Boise, Idaho, ExtraMile Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena with a seating capacity ranging between 12,000 and 13,000. The arena began construction in 1980 and opened two years later with the name BSU Pavilion. Its first event was the graduation exercises of Boise State University and followed by graduation ceremonies of the city's public high schools. Later on, ExtraMile Arena hosted several sporting events and was home to the basketball, wrestling and gymnastics teams of the Broncos. Early round National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) Tournament games were held in the arena for several years and is scheduled to return to the arena in 2021. Aside from sporting events, ExtraMile Arena also hosts concerts and other live performances. The Beach Boys were the first performers to hold a live event in the arena. An accessible seating platform is available on the arena's parquet level, and another is planned to be introduced to the mezzanine and balcony levels. Patrons who wish to avail such seating can purchase up to three ExtraMile Arena tickets to accommodate their companions. Yes, the arena provides its own parking space to its patrons. The parking lot opens 30 minutes before an event. The arena also provides a free shuttle ride that operates an hour and a half before and after a ExtraMile Arena event. Patrons who need accessible parking should arrive early as this space is on a first-come-first-serve basis for those vehicles displaying state-issued accessible placard or license plate.
