Ella Eyre Biography - Chart Topping Pop Star

Born Ella McMahon in Ealing, West London, this wannabe singer spent her teenage years training at the BRIT School for Performing Arts. She started song writing and caught the attention of record producers after a recommendation from her vocal coach. By 2012 she had a deal with Warner/Chappell Music and had signed with record label Virgin EMI. Favoured for her unique vocals, she was chosen to feature on Bastille's cover of TLC's 'No Scrubs' and xx single 'Angels'. 'Waiting All Waiting' was her big break in 2013, alongside Rudimental, shooting to the top of the charts and catching the attention of critics across the board.

Further collaborations followed in 2013, with Wiz Khalifa on 'Think About It' and Tinie Tempah with 'Someday (Place in the Sun)'. After achieving second place on the BBC Sound of 2014, her first solo single 'If I Go' landed in the top 20 of the UK charts and by the end of the year the singer had won Best Newcomer at the MOBO Awards. More recently she appeared on DJ Fresh track 'Gravity' and supported Olly Murs on tour. August saw the release of her debut album Feline and she is gearing up to debut the material live on her first headline tour of the UK this November.
