With their 2014 line-up featuring founding members Patterson Hood (guitar/vocals/bass), Mike Cooley (guitar/vocals/bass) plus Brad 'The EZB' Morgan (drums), Jay Gonzalez (keys/guitar/vocals) and recent addition Matt Patton (bass), this band formed in Athens, Georgia in 1996. Their first two albums, Gangstavility (1998) and Pizza Deliverance (1999) were released with a revolving line-up of musicians - a trend they have continued through their career as they proved themselves on the world touring circuit. In 2001 they had the confidence to release a double album, Southern Rock Opera, before the stunning concept album Decoration Day came out. Later, in 2013, bassist Matt Patton splashed fuel on the band's fire by joining permanently, with 2014 album English Oceans showing that they show no sign of letting down the quality despite having spent so long in the game.
