David Baddiel's latest show
Nominated for an Olivier award, Baddiel's latest stand-up show My Family: Not The Sitcom has seen countless praise from critics and comedy fans alike. With the show being described as "A massively disrespectful celebration of the lives of David Baddiel's late sex-mad mother, Sarah, and dementia-ridden father, Colin." Baddiel off-stage has remained candid on the subject, approaching dementia and the politics regarding his show in equal measures. Suffice to say, as far as the actual show, Baddiel's weaving between twisted admiration for his parents and the crazy antics they got up to as his elderly family.
David Baddiel biography
This comedy kingpin was born in New York but raised in London, first realising his funny streak in school when he would put on outrageous lunchtime sketch shows kept in check by his less than amused teachers. By the time of his graduation from Cambridge University, alternative comedy had taken over the British cultural landscape, with the stand-up entertainer scoring his big break in 1988 when BBC2 commissioned his self-penned sketch show The Mary Whitehouse Experience.
Since then he has become noted for his dry humour and partnership with fellow Comedy Store veteran Frank Skinner. The outrageous duo hosted a number of TV programmes together including Edinburgh Fringe favourite turned TV show Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned. The pair are perhaps best known for iconic England football anthem "Three Lions", celebrated for its emotive terrace-chant chorus.
15 years on from his last stand-up tour, seats for My Family: Not The Sitcom are sure to sell in record time - grab your David Baddiel tickets now on StubHub UK to avoid missing out.
