How many rinks does the Compton Family Ice Arena have?The Compton Family Ice Arena boasts two rinks. One, Charles "Lefty" Smith Rink is 200 feet by 90 feet and serves the Notre Dame hockey program. The other rink is in the Auxiliary Arena; it's an Olympic sized rink that's 200 feet by 100 feet, and it caters to sports like sled hockey, figure skating, curling and ice hockey for all ages. This Auxiliary Arena link can be divided into two separate rinks as needed.
What is the Compton Family Ice Arena seating capacity?"Lefty" Smith Rink can hold 5,022 spectators while the Auxiliary Arena (Olympic-sized rink) has room for 350 spectators on bleacher seats.
