Chicago the Musical revolves around the story of the alluring Miss Roxie Hart, an unassuming beauty who becomes front page news after murdering her husband. Battling fellow vamp Velma Kelly for the limelight, Roxie fights for acquittal and revels in attention gained from her newfound notoriety.

Chicago was originally a play written in 1924 by Maurine Dallas Watkins. Dallas Watkins based her play on true events encountered as a journalist covering crimes of passion for the Chicago Tribune. In the 1970s Bob Fosse acquired the rights for the play and, with John Kander and Fred Ebb, came to create one of the most powerful musical experiences of our time. This satire sparkles with hits like 'All That Jazz' and 'Cell Block Tango', among other memorable songs, providing the soundtrack for Roxie and Co.'s exploits.
