Performers at Albertsons Stadium
Albertsons Stadium TicketsKnown throughout the country for its stunning blue artificial turf, Albertson's Stadium is the official home of the Boise State University Broncos football team. Located on the campus of the university in Boise, Idaho, the venue, which opened in September 1970, was originally known as Bronco Stadium. In May 2014, Joe Albertson, founder of the grocery chain Albertsons, purchased the naming rights. The famous blue turf, one of the first non-green playing surfaces anywhere in the country, became a major fixture of the stadium in 1986. Albertsons Stadium has hosted the postseason Famous Idaho Potato Bowl since 1997. The venue has a seating capacity of 36,387, but 36,864 fans were in attendance for the Broncos' 7-6 win against the Brigham Young University Cougars on Sept. 20, 2012.
