The first Twisted Wheel gig was staged within a week of the band's formation. Inspired by the likes of the Clash and Oasis,
the Oldham indie group were quickly catapulted into the limelight after their punk-inflected demo was heard by Paul Weller.
The ex-Jam frontman asked Twisted Wheel to open for him at a number of his live performances, as well as inviting them to
record at his Surrey-based studio. The rest, as they say, is history.
Famous for their high-energy, raw live performances, catching a Twisted Wheel tour is an absolute must for any avid indie
fan. Search for Twisted Wheel tickets on StubHub! UK for

Twisted Wheel Biography - Oldham Indie Band Hits it Big
Consisting of vocalist Jonny Brown, bassist Richard Lees and drummer Adam Clarke, Twisted Wheel band members rose to prominence
following their formation in 2007. This success came as a result of support from big names like Clint Boon and Paul Weller, avid hometown support and good old-fashioned hard work. The band was signed by
Columbia, who released their first single 'You Stole the Sun' in summer 2008. Twisted Wheel's self-titled debut album followed
the next year, with Brown recording all of his vocals during one 24-hour studio session.
Twisted Wheel gigs exude the same kind of raucous, vigorous energy that the live performances of bands like the Arctic
Monkeys are famous for. Twisted Wheel has also attracted the attention of major players in the music industry, including Oasis,
who asked the band to support them at a number of their stadium gigs in 2008 and 2009.
