        Titus Andronicus Biography - Bringing Their Live Sound to the Studio

        Formed in Jersey in 2005, it didn't take long for the five-piece to record their debut EP before releasing their first album, The Airing of Grievances. Received positively by critics, the album showcased their edgy, violent sound - the brilliance of which was only amplified when performed live. March 2010 saw their sophomore effort, The Monitor, come to light. Featuring contributions from fellow indie luminaries Vivian Girls and Ponytail, the album debuted at Number 7 in the Billboard Heatseekers chart and secured their cult status. More recently the group released their ground-breaking record Local Business. Featured in Rolling Stone's 50 Best Albums of 2012, the album was produced with their live performances in mind, attempting to reproduce their on-stage sound in the studio.

        Named after the violent Shakespearean play of the same name, the group's brash and original sound has seen them dominate stages across the US and the quintet are now introducing their fresh tunes to the UK.
