The origins of this band were long in the making and began with Danny Bowes auditioning for school friend Luke Morley's group, claiming that he could sing because he couldn't play any instruments. Regardless, the young singer was deemed good enough to join and an early version of the band was formed. After playing in various venues around London the band signed to Epic Records, but only to have their sound pushed into a more pop-friendly direction. A trip to the US proved to the band that a thriving rock scene did exist, persuading them to continue with their original sound. After returning to the UK, the fivesome changed their line-up and their moniker to their now infamous band name, returning with a much more blues-orientated sound which, judging by the incredible response to their performance at the 1990 Monsters of Rock festival, proved to be an extremely successful decision. Having overcome a few hiatuses, the band is now back and impressing audiences with its inventive songwriting and energetic performances.
