These Brummie favourites are determined to keep the Britpop flag flying with their baggy sound and laddish demeanour. Known
for inspiring huge singalongs of their hits during their gigs, the group have built a cult following over half a decade on
the scene.

After meeting on a music technology course in 2001, Phil Etheridge and Jon Watkin began touring around local pubs under
the name 'Neon Twang'. The duo swapped instrumental duties on tracks before deciding to add new members. Eventually, the group
signed to indie label B-Unique, also home of the Kaiser Chiefs at that time. By 2007 they had become the subject of a Radio
1 documentary and were soon championed by the NME, scooping the Radar gong at the magazine's awards ceremony
that year. Riding a wave of hype, debut single 'Wide Awake' hit the UK Top 20, while their debut album Love It When I Feel
Like This crashed the Top 3. Their influences - the Britpop and Madchester movements - are strongly defined in their music,
with frontman Martin Saunders' strong Midlands accent shining through in his impassioned vocals. Cultivating a passionate
live following, the quintet has become so legendary in their hometown that they perform a popular annual Christmas party at
the O2 Academy Birmingham.
