        The club was originally formed as St. Mary's Church of England YMA back in 1885, playing their early matches on the city's Common. Within 13 years, the side had won the Southern League title six times and opted to move to a new purpose-built stadium, The Dell. The venue would go on to be their home for 103 years, before their move to their current abode in 2001. Over the course of the outfit's storied history, they've amassed numerous honours, none bigger than winning the 1976 FA Cup - and against-the-odds 1-0 triumph over Manchester United.
