After Wales' historic Grand Slam victory in last year's tournament, international rugby's most competitive sides are set
to do it again when the 2013 Six Nations kicks off in February. With the Welsh Dragons already making noise about retaining
their crown and England looking to repeat their 2011 success - not to mention a resurgent France and determined Irish, Scottish
and Italian sides - the 2013 Six Nations tournament is set to be one of the sport's most titanic battles to date.
With venues such as Millennium Stadium, Twickenham and Murrayfield ready to host the opening round of matches, everything's
in place for the biggest and best Six Nations yet. And with more than a century's history behind it, featuring some of the
biggest names in the sport, that's no mean feat.

Originally conceived as the Five Nations Championship in 1910, pre-2000 this annual face-off was contested by England,
Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Scotland, with Italy joining in the millennium year. Operating on a round-robin basis, usually
in February and March, the competition is based on union rules, seeing teams of 15 players aim to score tries and conversions
to defeat the other team.
When it comes to sporting excellence and thrilling displays of skill and power, 2012's Six Nations was right up there with
the very best, with Wales' Dan Lydiate emerging as the player of the tournament and Scott Williams' try-scoring also catching
the eye. Pundits predict the 2013 Six Nations could even see those achievements eclipsed, with Wales looking to become the
first side since France in 2007 to retain the trophy.
