Appreciated in the UK far more than their native America, this flamboyant five-piece came to prominence via New York's
gay scene in the early noughties. Famous for their genre-shifting blend of Bee Gees pop and floor filling electro, their songs
are synonymous with fearless fun - pushing the limits of gender and sexuality.
The group's live shows are flirtatious and ballsy celebrations of life and music, full of references to burlesque, disco
and 70s glam. Catch one next time they're in the UK - search for Scissor Sisters tickets on StubHub UK to get the latest listings

This quirky quintet formed in 2001, when collaborating duo Jake Shear and Scott Babydaddy' Hoffman paired up with vocalist
Ana Matronic' Lynch. Signing to small alternative label A Touch of Class, they put out their debut single 'Electrobix' in
2002 - however it was the B-side, a cover of Pink Floyd's classic 'Comfortably Numb', which became a club hit and gained them
mainstream attention.
Attracting the attention of UK based record label Polydor, Scissor Sisters hit the UK, convinced that their explosive act
and controversial messaging would better suit a European audience than in their native US. They were proved right, their self-titled
debut charting at Number One and becoming the UK's best selling album of 2004. Follow-up Ta-Da saw the band hit the
top spot with catchy comeback single 'I Don't Feel Like Dancin'', while their third and fourth efforts, Night Work
and Magic Hour, both hit the Top 5. After spending a decade in the upper echelons of the charts, these former underground
heroes are now firm mainstream entertainment favourites. Don't miss their next UK tour - buy Scissor Sisters tickets on StubHub
