        Trained in classical piano from an early age, Regina Spektor's introduction to Western pop culture came via her father trading pop and rock cassettes, including those of Queen and The Beatles, during the Soviet Union. Later exposed to female legends Billie Holliday, Joni Mitchell and Ani DiFranco, Regina Spektor began laying groundwork for what was to become her trademark vocal style. Written around fictional characters and events, the Regina Spektor discography is infused with literary references from F. Scott Fitzgerald, Virginia Woolf and the Bible, to name but a few.

        Kicking of her career touring with The Strokes and Kings of Leon, Regina Spektor tour dates take her across the world.
