Noah and the Whale - Folk-Pop Funsters
After crashing the charts with their summer soundtrack '5 Years Time' in 2007, these fun-loving folk-popsters have become
one of the nation's favourite live acts. Having played numerous sell out tours and wowed the masses at festivals such as Reading
and Leeds, their quirky act has been well-honed to incorporate huge sing-alongs and a cavalcade of chirpy indie hits.

Noah and the Whale Biography - Floating to the Top of the Indie Pile
The group formed in the fertile west London indie scene of the mid-'00s, initially with future solo stars Laura Marling
and Emmy the Great in their line-up. Eventually cemented as a five-piece around frontman Charlie Fink, they began gigging
around the capital and soon built a devoted following. Originally signed to Vertigo Records for a string of independent releases,
they were eventually snapped up by Mercury, who put out their 2008 debut album Peaceful, the World Lays Me Down. Hitting
the UK Top 5, it spawned their signature hit '5 Years Time', which became a huge favourite with festival crowds across summer
2008. Buoyed by the exposure, the quintet returned less than a year later with a darker sound on The First Days of Spring,
its lyrical themes touching on Marling leaving the band and also splitting from Fink romantically. Hitting the Top 10 with
2011 follow-up Last Night on Earth - boasting the singalong hit 'L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N' - cemented their position as
one of the UK's most important indie concerns - and their shows now regularly sell out up and down the country.
