Starting out as garage-grunge outfit Kara's Flowers, this now popular group faced their first major setback while still in their teens. Having released their first album The Fourth World, they were dropped by their label Reprise Records. Rather than giving up their musical ambitions altogether, the band decided to reinvent themselves, adding fifth member and frontman Adam Levine to the line-up.
Adopting their current moniker, the newly formed quartet began working on their new pop infused rock and soon secured another record deal. Their 2002 debut LP Songs About Jane was not an immediate success, but the strengths of singles 'This Love' and 'She Will be Loved' launched the group internationally. Sophomore full-length It Won't Be Soon Before Long solidified their newfound success, whilst their third offering Hands All Over kept them at the forefront of popular music, spiking demand of Maroon 5 tickets yet again.
