Born Timothy McKenzie in 1989 in Hackney, this talented Londoner vowed to pursue a career in the music industry whilst
still at school. Beginning his career by producing a track for Master Shortie titled 'Dead End', McKenzie was soon making
waves in his local scene. His breakthrough came when he featured on fellow UK artist Tinie Tempah's Number One single 'Pass
Out', which won two Brit Awards as well as a prestigious Ivor Novello prize. The duo followed up a few months later with the
release of 'Frisky', which charted at Number Two.
His song crafting talents were soon recognised by music mogul Simon Cowell, who signed him to Syco Records, becoming the
first artist in six years signed that wasn't affiliated to one of Cowell's talent shows. A single, 'Let The Sun Shine', was
released in September 2010, and work began on a debut album. Lead single 'Earthquake' was released in October 2011 whilst
the album Electronic Earth followed in April. Since then, this R&B crooner has been touring extensively and showcasing
tracks off his album to ensure Labrinth tickets remain in high demand.
