Kodaline - Irish Chart-Toppers Take Over the UK
After scoring a Number One album in their native Ireland and crashing
the UK charts with In a Perfect World, these determined Dubliners are reaping the rewards of years of hard work on the live
circuit. Given their first break on an Irish talent show back in 2007 when they were named 21 Demands, they've since steadily
built their profile with a series of show-stopping concerts and record-breaking singles.

Kodaline Biography - Neighbourly Beginnings
seeds of the band were sown in '90s Dublin in the 1990s, when singer Steve Garrigan and guitarist Mark Prendergast lived just
a few doors away from each other. Eventually forming a band with drummer Vinny May and bassist Jason Boland in 2005, their
big break came two years later when they competed in Ireland's X-Factor-style show You're a Star. Although finishing
as runners-up, the exposure gave their career a much-needed boost as they went on to become the first independent group to
score a Number One single on the Emerald Isle with their track 'Give Me a Minute'. After adopting their current moniker in
2011, they were soon achieving success further afield when their track 'All I Want' was played on an episode of hit US drama
Grey's Anatomy. Soon the toast of UK critics and influential radio DJs, they cemented their place as true rising stars
after being shortlisted for the BBC's annual Sound Of poll in 2013.
