Formed in Westfield, Massachusetts in 1999 by the members of the dissolved bands Aftershock and Overcast, this quintet
had a loyal following from the start. Finding the right balance between metal and melody, the group caught the attention of
The Ferret label when serving as the opening act for Swedish rockers In Flames. Receiving rave reviews in the rock press for
their self-titled debut album in 2000 and 2002 follow-up Alive or Just Breathing, they made their mainstream breakthrough
with 2004's The End of Heartache. Selling 500,000 copies in the US, its title track was nominated for a Grammy, a feat
made more impressive by the fact they were forced to replace troubled singer Jesse Leach with new recruit Howard Jones before
completing the record.
After a decade that's seen the band climb right to the top of the tree in the metal scene, Leach made his triumphant return
to the group in 2012, resuming vocal duties for 2013 LP Disarm the Descent. Rejuvenating their sound and attitude,
they remain one of the rock scene's biggest live draws. Find out why they've earned rave reviews after rocking the crowds
