        Kaiser Chiefs Biography - Alongside The Jams and The Clash

        The members of Leeds-born band Kaiser Chiefs - Ricky Wilson, Andrew White, Nick Baines, Simon Rix and Nick Hodgson - have known each other in various band incarnations since childhood. Having played together as Parva, the band reformed in the early noughties as Kaiser Chiefs, the band name inspired by a South African football club.

        Releasing their debut Employment in 2005, the Kaiser Chiefs discography has seen high chart peaks and enjoyed international success. Tweaking the noisy, stompy sound of '80s punk for the 21st century, Kaiser Chiefs have carved out their niche in a nearly homogenous era of electro-fused R&B. With Kaiser Chiefs songs 'Everyday I Love You Less And Less' and 'I Predict A Riot' deeply rooted in the tradition of The Jams and The Clash, the band has topped the charts, selling millions of albums in the UK and elsewhere.
