Pioneering a fresh direction for popular dance genre dubstep, this electro whiz kid is an entrancing live performer. Having
garnered a Mercury Prize nomination for his self-titled 2011 debut album, he's as much of a hit with critics as his growing
legion of fans. Find details about his latest tour dates by searching for James Blake tickets on StubHub UK.
The son of respected hard-rocker James Litherland, this boundary-pushing prodigy built the foundations of his career at
Goldsmiths, University of London. Studying popular music alongside fellow future star Kathleen Brien - a.k.a. Katy B - he
started making music in his bedroom while still in his teens. Putting out his debut 12" 'Air & Lack Thereof' in 2009, his
minimalist sounds were soon impressing important tastemakers such as Radio 1 DJs Gilles Peterson and Nick Grimshaw, who named
his track 'CMYK' as his Record of the Week in 2010. His major mainstream breakthrough followed at the turn of 2011, when he
came second in the BBC's annual 'Sound Of...' list after topping numerous year-end polls for 2010. Continuing his ascent to
the upper echelons of the industry, his eponymous debut LP hit the UK Top 10 and made a minor dent in the US, driven largely
by his exceptional cover of Feist's 'Limit to Your Love'.
Famed for the intimate feel of his shows, he's a live performer not to be missed. Find out when he's next bringing his
pared-down sounds to your town - buy James Blake tickets on StubHub UK, assured under our industry-first FanProtect Guarantee.
