One of London's oldest football clubs, Fulham FC was established in 1879 with a group of Sunday school kids kicking a ball
around their local park. That early team is a far cry from the star-studded Premier League line-up that currently plays at
the club's Craven Cottage stadium in front of fans lucky enough to hold Fulham FC tickets. In recent seasons, match-goers
with Fulham FC tickets have been treated to a brand of attractive football befitting the team's picturesque location on the
banks of the Thames.
More About Fulham FC - The Mohamed Al Fayed Years
Mohamed Al Fayed took over as chairman of Fulham FC in 1997. Al Fayed kept his promise of a return to top-flight football
within five years, with the club securing a place in the Premier League in 2001 after racking up a record-breaking tally of
points as champions of Division One. In 2008-09, Fulham FC achieved their highest-ever finish, taking seventh spot in the
Premier League and qualifying
for the inaugural UEFA Europa League. The following season, the club reached the final of the Europa League, narrowly losing
to Athletico Madrid in extra time.
The summer of 2011 brought a new team manager in the shape of Martin Jol. The Dutchman quickly established his trademark
style of free-flowing football, much to the delight of supporters, who witnessed their first ever Premier League hat trick
by a club player. Fans with Fulham FC tickets saw Andy Johnson hit the back of the net three times during the club's 6-0 demolition
of Queens Park Rangers.
