Foster the People Biography More Than a One-Hit Wonder
American group Foster the People has been on the international radar since their debut single Pumped Up Kicks' went viral
in 2010. Mentioned on major music blogs, the single started to get airplay and soon Foster the People were the band name on
everyones lips. Setting the bar high, the group of three received more record offers than they could handle, and when the
dust settled Foster the People went on to sign a multi-album deal with label Startime International.
Falling head-over-heels into stardom, front man Mark Foster, drummer Mark Pontius and bassist Chubbie Fink set out to tour
the US, racking up stage experience before releasing their first album Torches in 2011. Foster the Peoples almost
instantaneous fame landed them a concert slot at the famous Coachella Music Festival, and the nominations for major awards
began to roll their way.
