Despite their somewhat misleading name, Eagles of Death Metal are an alternative rock group made up of Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme and his high school pal Jesse Hughes.
Homme plays drums and goes under the alias of Carlo Von Sexron, while Hughes sings and plays guitar. The Eagles of Death Metal

Eagles of Death Metal Biography - Adrenaline-Fuelled Rock 'n' Roll
Eagles of Death Metal first got together in 1998 but the project was put aside for a few years while Homme focused on Queens
of the Stone Age. However, in 2003 the band spent three days recording, with almost all of the tracks they laid down requiring
only one take. The hype surrounding the duo grew as a result of Homme wearing an Eagles of Death Metal t-shirt when Queens
of the Stone Age took to the road that summer.
The first Eagles of Death Metal tour took place later that year, when they delighted fans with their high-energy live performances
as the support act for Placebo. Since then the band has continued
to thrill audiences around the world, opening for The Distillers in Europe in 2004 and taking to the road with The Strokes in 2006. If you appreciate adrenaline-fuelled live performances, you'll definitely
want to catch the latest Eagles of Death Metal tour.
