        More About Dreamboats and Petticoats the Musical - A Rockin' Romantic Triangle

        Dreamboats and Petticoats began as an album compilation series whose success led producers to develop a stage version inspired by the releases. Writing duo Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran penned the script for Dreamboats and Petticoats the Musical, whose story centres on a love triangle. In the show, rockers Norman and Bobby compete for the adoration of Laura, whose own talents poise her on the edge of stardom.

        The exploits of Norman, Bobby and Laura are set to a soundtrack of familiar shimmy-worthy tunes such as Dion and the Belmonts' 'Runaround Sue' and 'Shakin' All Over' by Johnny Kidd and the Pirates. Cast members shake, rattle 'n' roll to these songs in dynamic dance bits that evoke the spirit of enduring oldies. Superbly staged and choreographed, Dreamboats and Petticoats has garnered praise from critics and musical enthusiasts. The show was nominated for 'Best New Musical' at the 2010 Laurence Olivier Awards and continues to attract large audiences at London's Playhouse Theatre and national tours.
