Dappy, a.k.a. Costadinos Contostavlos, is an outspoken rapper hailing from Camden, London. Well-known for his outlandish ‘Dappy hat’ headwear, the rapper rose to fame as one-third of urban grime group N-Dubz. Also comprised of Dappy's cousin Tulisa and best friend Fazer, N-Dubz made their mark on the British music scene with decidely urban lyrics and undeniable songwriting skills that helped score them eight top 40 hits over their 11-year history.
After a brief hiatus from N-Dubz, Dappy embarked on his solo career, weaving observations of North London street life into his signature brand of hip-hop-tinged pop music.
