Biography - Hazy Harmonies
This dreamy duo formed in 2010, when vocalist Madeline Follin and guitarist Brian Oblivion
were students in New York City - both had spent their youth playing in punk bands and as a consequence their music is influenced
by a number of different genres. They released their debut EP Cults 7'' later that year, promoted by the single 'Go
Outside'. Respected blog Pitchfork named the record 'Best New Album' and the twosome soon found themselves on tour
with various high profile artists.
They released their critically acclaimed eponymous debut album in 2011, after signing
to Lily Allen's label 'In the Name Of', attracting rave reviews for the hazy harmonies on tracks like 'Abducted'. Now fully-fledged
festival favourites after playing stunning sets at events such as All Tomorrow's Parties and Glastonbury, this dynamic duo
will bring terrific sunny pop tracks from their most recent album Static to UK shores in 2014. Grab your Cults tickets
