After falling in love with electro music in the late '90s, Calvin Harris started composing from his bedroom. Writing off
major record labels, Calvin Harris promoted his music through the social networking site MySpace. Discovered in the 2006 by
EMI and Sony BMG scouts, the young Scotsman started work on his debut album from his hometown of Dumfries.
Produced solely by himself on an old Amiga computer, the Calvin Harris album I Created Disco was released in 2007
to mixed reviews, but he managed to attract a fan base of enthused club kids nonetheless. Two years later, the follow up Ready
for the Weekend hit stores, its success propelled by songs such as its peppy title track. Harris' profile has significantly
risen in years since, with marquee performers seeking him out to write and produce songs.
Adored by Brits, Calvin Harris has seen many singles climb the charts. After Calvin Harris and Rihanna collaborated on the hit song 'We Found Love', his status as a super-producer was all but
