Singer-songwriter and all-round musician, Bobby Womack has enjoyed an illustrious career in music spanning over 50 years.
Shunned from his childhood home by his strictly religious father, the singer has endured various tribulations including drug
addiction, breaking through to become the R&B legend we know
and love today.
A fusion of R&B and rock music, Bobby Womack's music
is best appreciated live. To experience his smooth voice and soulful guitar rhythms in person, purchase tickets on StubHub!

Honing their musical talents to the soundtrack of gospel music, Bobby Womack and his siblings formed The Womack Brothers
in Cleveland, Ohio in America under the watchful eye of their minister father. Recognising the boys' musical talents, King
of Soul Sam Cooke offered to mentor the boys, ushering them into pop
music and eventually signing the newly-named The Valentinos to his record label.
Bobby Womack caused huge controversy when he married Sam Cooke's widow after The Valentinos' manager died in a shootout
in a hotel in 1964. Impacting his first endeavours as a solo artist, Bobby Womack persevered; he now holds a firm place in
the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, having been inducted in 2009.
Bobby Womack's influence is still felt by younger generations thanks to collaborations with contemporary artists including
Kelly Rowland. Also working closely with Damon Albarn of the Gorillaz, Bobby Womack teamed up with the ex-Blur frontman to
produce his first album of new material in 12 years.
Bobby Womack is one of many R&B and soul revival artists returning to tour the UK, a group including Frankie Valli and the Four Season and George Benson. To find concert tickets for other R&B and pop artists, browse StubHub! UK to discover thousands
