Alter Bridge Biography - A New Breed of Creed

These Florida rockers formed almost a decade ago after the dissolution of grunge-rockers Creed. Guitarist Mark Tremonti, drummer Scott Phillips and bassist Brian Marshall formed the band with singer Myles Kennedy, hitting the studio to record debut album One Day Remains in 2004. A minor chart success at the time, it went on to sell 750,000 copies and became written into WWE wrestling folklore after providing the theme song for popular grappler Edge. Such was the band's affinity with the sport, known for its rock scene ties, that the band appeared in an episode of the Raw TV show, further exposing them to a mass audience. Buoyed by the success, they put out sophomore LP Blackbird in 2007, scoring praise from a raft of critics. Similarly, 2011 follow-up AB III spawned their best-known and most successful single 'Isolation', which topped the rock charts in the US.
